Another week of sewing and my market stall. It is hard to find time to write blog entries as well!
This week I have managed to get on top of my orders, but realised I had almost run out of my beautiful labels for the bags. I had to order them againf rom the lovely Jennifer of Jennifersjewels. The labels are really well made and service is fast. I love the way they look on my bags!
This week I was asked to make a jewellery roll. I had not tried one of them before, but I think it turned out quite well.

This is the outside of the roll.

The inside worked well. One large pocket for necklaces and 2 little ones for ear rings, as well as a ring holder.
I have had 2 more orders from this one, so more hard work next week!
Today is the Didmarton Christmas Bizaare 10am – 1pm. Looking forward to it and hopefully some sales!
Happy Saturday and I will fill you in on how the sale went!
On Saturday I packed up the car in the rain and wind and went over to the Malmesbury Winter Fayre. It was held in a church hall and it was a bit touch and go getting there on time – never goes to plan with 3 small children to organise as well!
The fayre was a mixture of handmade crafts, brick ‘n’ brack stalls and stalls like Party Lite. A good mix of stalls, but unfortunately the weather seemed to keep people away. There was an initial rush of people when Christine Hamilton opened the fayre, but then it just slowed down totally. It started at 11am and by 1.30 there was no-one coming in at all so I packed up.
I made a couple of sales which covered costs – just. But it was another good networking experience and a chance to talk to people who love their businesses as much as I do. Such a shame that people were not venturing out in the rain and those that did were not willing to pay for the crafts there.
Why is people associate handmade with cheap? Very frustrating!
To celebrate funky diva designs being available for 1 month I am going to be giving away this cute make-up bag.

To be in with a chance of winning the make-up bag all you have to do is give me some feedback about my bags. So let me know what you think, both positive and negative, by posting to this site. Entrants from around the world welcome
I will pick a winner on Friday 27 November so I can send it out in time for Christmas.
Thanks for helping me to celebrate!
After 2 weeks of everyone not being well I finally made it to my stall on Thursday. It was a cold but dry day so not too bad.
I had quite a few visitors and some sales for the first time which made being cold worth while! Hopefully I am going to start turning a corner with the stall on a Thursday and start to sell some things on the run to Christmas!
Stock levels need boosting to next few days are going to be crazy with sewing!
